Smuuny Privacy Policy

Smuuny is a personal finance tracking application operated by Web Trade Ltd., a limited liability company registered in Bulgaria (“Smuuny”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

Smuuny is designed to help you understand how much money you have available, record your income and expenses, and understand more clearly where your money goes.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we process when you use Smuuny, why we process it, how we handle it, and what rights and choices you may have.

Account Information

When you create and use a Smuuny account, we process information necessary to create, authenticate, and maintain your account. This may include your email address and authentication-related information.

If you choose an available third-party sign-in method, such as Google or Apple, information necessary to authenticate your account may also be processed through that provider.

Financial Information You Enter

Smuuny allows you to manually enter information about your personal finances. Depending on the features you use, this may include:

• available money and starting amounts;
• income and expenses;
• transaction dates, notes, and categories;
• budgets and their usage;
• credit card limits and amounts used;
• debts and remaining amounts; and
• other information you choose to enter into Smuuny.

Smuuny does not connect directly to your bank accounts and does not collect your online banking credentials.

Financial information stored in Smuuny is primarily information that you choose to enter yourself.

Usage and Technical Information

We may process limited technical and usage information necessary for the operation, security, understanding, and improvement of Smuuny. This may include information such as browser or device type, operating system, pages or features used, login activity, approximate country-level information, and technical diagnostic information.

We may also use product analytics to understand how Smuuny and its features are used.

We do not intentionally include the contents of your personal financial records — such as transaction amounts, available balances, transaction notes, debt names, or similar financial content entered by you — in custom analytics events.

Communications

If you contact Smuuny Support, we process the information you provide in your communication to the extent necessary to respond to your request and provide support.

We process information where necessary to:

• provide and operate Smuuny;
• create, authenticate, and maintain user accounts;
• store and display information you choose to enter;
• calculate and present information such as available money, income, expenses, budget usage, credit usage, and remaining debts;
• maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the service;
• diagnose and fix technical issues;
• provide user support;
• understand how Smuuny is used and improve the product; and
• comply with applicable legal obligations.

Smuuny does not sell your personal data.

We do not use the personal financial information you enter into Smuuny to provide advertising based on your finances.

Smuuny may use analytics tools provided through the application's infrastructure to understand general usage. This may include information such as visits, pages viewed, device types, operating systems, login activity, and interactions with selected product features.

We aim to minimize information used for analytics and do not intentionally include the contents of user-entered financial records in custom analytics events.

If our analytics practices materially change, we will update this Privacy Policy as appropriate.

We use external service providers where necessary to operate Smuuny. These providers may process information on our behalf for purposes such as application infrastructure, hosting, data storage, authentication, security, analytics, email services, and other technical services.

Smuuny is currently built and operated using infrastructure provided by Base44. Base44 may use subprocessors in providing these services.

If you choose to use third-party authentication services such as Google or Apple, those providers may process information under their own applicable privacy policies.

Our service providers may process personal information only to the extent necessary for the services they provide and in accordance with applicable contractual and legal requirements.

Some service providers used to operate Smuuny may process personal data outside the country in which you live, including outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”).

Where required by applicable data protection law, international transfers of personal data are carried out using appropriate legal safeguards, which may include adequacy decisions, applicable data transfer frameworks, or Standard Contractual Clauses.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Smuuny, maintain your account, provide support, protect the security and integrity of the service, comply with applicable legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

When you permanently delete your Smuuny account, personal information associated with it is deleted from the application's active systems, subject to limited exceptions where retention is required or permitted by applicable law.

Some information may remain temporarily in automated backups until removed through their normal retention cycle.

You can permanently delete your Smuuny account directly from the application:

Deletion removes your account and associated Smuuny data, subject to the limited retention circumstances described in this Privacy Policy.

If you do not have access to your Smuuny account, you can contact support@smuuny.com for assistance with a deletion request.

For security reasons, we may need to verify that you are the owner of the account before processing a deletion request made outside the authenticated application environment.

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have certain rights in relation to your personal data. These may include the right to:

• request access to your personal data;
• request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
• request deletion of your personal data;
• request restriction of certain processing;
• object to certain processing;
• request portability of applicable personal data;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
• lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection supervisory authority.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

We also rely on the security measures of the infrastructure and service providers used to operate Smuuny.

No electronic service, transmission method, or data storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Minors may use Smuuny subject to applicable law.

We do not knowingly seek to collect or process personal information from minors in circumstances where doing so would violate applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including when Smuuny's features, service providers, data practices, or legal obligations change.

When we update this Privacy Policy, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of the document.
